The tallest Skyscraper

Taipei 101, Taiwan

It is with it's 509 meters the momentarily highest Skyscraper in the world, although the Sears Tower (527 meters) is higher the the Taipei. This is because of the fact that with the Sears Tower the official height does not take in account the antennas, since they do not belong to the essential structure of the building.  The metal point of the Taipei 101 belongs to the essential Structure of the building. In addition, without the antennas and points of the Taipei 101 with 448 meters is 6 meters higher then the Sears Tower. The Building contains 101 floors above and 5 floors underground.
With approx 16.8 meters per second the Tower also has the fastest elevators in the world. The foundation consists of 9.000 tons of steel and about 26,000 tons of concrete.  On the 89th and 101st floor are Prospect Possibilities.  You can find Business and Recreational Venues in the lower floors.
Above that are 84 floors of Office Space.
(It has been hailed as one of the seven new Wonders of the World)
